BORN TO MAKE HISTORY

Founded in 2018 by Deborah Mayer, the Iron Dames project has been launched and rapidly developed in motorsport. The Iron Dames, as an all-female line-up, achieved historic victories and breakthroughs at the pinnacle of world endurance racing, including becoming the first all-female team to win a race in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2023.

The Iron Dames is a groundbreaking project committed to promoting and supporting women in sports where they compete on equal terms with men. As a long term project it is not only committed to promoting inclusivity for women at all levels, but also to developing young female talents from junior categories to pro categories.

DEBORAH GOES RACING

Deborah Mayer makes her racing debut in a Ferrari 458 CH EVO during Ferrari Challenge Europe in Monza.

2017

IRON LYNX IS BORN

Based on an idea of Deborah Mayer, Claudio Schiavoni, Sergio Pianezzola and Andrea Piccini, Iron Lynx Motorsport Lab’s story begins.

2018

STARTING THE STORY, IRON DAMES IS BORN

An all-female line-up: R. Frey, M. Gatting and M. Gostner compete in the 12 Hours of Dubai. It is the dawn of the Iron Dames project.

CONTINUING THE STORY

The Iron Dames’ line-up competes in European Le Mans Series at Monza.
Joining FIA Women in Motorsport: Iron Dames collaborates with the FIA through the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission.

AN ALL-FEMALE ELMS LINE-UP

Meeting the challenge. Iron Dames compete at the front in European Le Mans Series and Ferrari Challenge Europe.

Dames make history and fight back at Le Mans: Iron Dames recover through the field for best-ever 24 Hours of Le Mans result, after becoming first all-female line-up to reach Le Mans Hyperpole.
Pin dominates in Ferrari Challenge: D. Pin becomes Ferrari Challenge Europe Trofeo Pirelli champion (9 wins, 13 podiums).
Bovy one-lap master: S. Bovy becomes first woman to take pole position in European Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship.

MAKING HISTORY IN THE PRESENT AND FUTURE!

Iron Dames’ WEC trio of Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting competed in 3 of the most highly contested endurance championships in the world (IMSA, GTWC, WEC) and became the first all-female team has emerged victorious in the FIA WEC world championship and in 2nd place in the overall championship.
Doriane Pin keeps breaking barriers, rising brilliantly to the LMP2 challenge in WEC, becoming in Monza the first women to start from LMP2 pole position and being named the Revelation Of the Year.
A new pink chapter opens with Iron Dames Equestrian, led by the first and only women’s show jumping team to compete in the most important FEI show jumping events around the world.
A new generation on the move with the project’s entry into karting, represented by Natalia who, at 15, becomes the youngest Iron Dame.
Iron Dames online shop opens offering a special collection of clothing and merchandise that embodies the spirit and roots of the brand.
